Owner & Director John started in the transport industry in 1988 working for another small North Canterbury transport business. When the owner of that business decided to sell John made the decision to go out on his own and Smith & Silcock Transport Ltd was started. The rest is history and now over 20 years later we are still offering that personalised, professional service.
John and his wife Adrienne run the business together. Both their boys Harri & Josh have grown up helping out where they can and going along on adventures all around New Zealand whilst still pursuing their own education, work and sporting activities.
Smith & Silcock Transport is a nation wide transport company specialising in the transport of boats, caravans & motorhomes, farm machinery, horse floats, trailers & cabins.
With a special interest in all things motorsport John also offers specialised transport of competition vehicles, classic vehicles & vintage cars. We also transport golf carts, quad bikes and side by side vehicles.
We have a small team of drivers, of whom all are trained to deal with the specialised services we offer. We have a range of flat deck and slide deck trucks to cater for the wide range of services required. All of our staff have backgrounds in either the farming industry, vehicles or transport industry meaning our team are well equipped to cater to all your transport needs.
